Music Showcase Are You Protected.

There's currently legislation that if passed could have an adverse affect for anyone who creates intellectual property -songs, lyrics, books, music, paintings, photographs, etc. The entire arts, entertainment and music community is being made aware of the Orphan Works Legislation.

According to Tess Taylor -Big Changes To The Copyright Act That Will Affect YOU!

Congress is quietly passing a significant change to the Copyright Act that will radically restructure copyright law and legalize the infringement of artists' rights.

Driven by commercial interests, the Shawn Bentley Orphan Works Act (named for the late AOL lobbyist) creates a safe harbor that will allow the use of songs, sound recordings, illustrations, music videos or any other copyright in any manner by anyone (whom the Shawn Bentley Act defines as an infringer) who is unable to find the copyright owner after a "reasonably diligent" search "in good faith." No requirements exist for a "reasonably diligent search" in the Act.

Two and a half years after the Emancipation the people in Texas found out that slavery was over. It was on June 19, 1865 –that’s why it’s called “Juneteenth”.

Music Industry Pimping

Industry Pimping offers a compelling read into who is pimping who in the music business. After reading Industry Pimping one learns that if you ever performed at a music showcase, attended a music conference, paid a music publicist or paid for radio promotions in hopes of commercial radio airplay you probably got pimped which means you were treated like a (***).

Hold on now, don't be mad at me I'm just sharing what I found on Industry Pimping. It would seem to me that you would want to find out how you were/are being pimped in the music business. Visit Industry Pimping to find out how bad and how long you've been getting pimped in the industry.

Once you know how you getting pimped then you can stop the pimping and move on with the wholesome growth and development of your music business and career.
