Recording Artist -Music Showcase Opportunity During Juneteenth Celebration
Please join us for a Juneteenth Celebration at the APEX museum on June 19-21, 2008. Youth Summit on Thursday, Panel discussion on Friday and on Saturday there will be vending and a stage for entertainment. Auditions for clean acts will be June 14, from 3p.m. - 6p.m. The event will be held at the APEX museum on 135 Auburn Ave., Atlanta, GA. What is Juneteenth?
Two and a half years after the Emancipation the people in Texas found out that slavery was over. It was on June 19, 1865 –that’s why it’s called “Juneteenth”.
