ChiQ Diva Remembered

ChiQ Diva originally from New Orleans had moved her operation after Hurricane Katrina and had been a staple in the Atlanta Music Scene ever since. On Dec. 25, 2010 she was called home and made her transitioned. She will be missed, but not forgotten by those who had an opportunity to know her professionally and personally.

She was instrumental in helping a number of recording artist get exposure on BET. Additionally, ChiQ Diva held a conference that educated the industry on the business of music and the inner workings of pr (public relations).

ChiQ Diva's networking skills allowed her to navigate from the bottom to the top and all parts in-between of business in general and the music industry in particular. She also had her hands in pr work for her clients who were writers, authors, actors and actresses and a number of other high profile public personalities.

ChiQ Diva had no, problem expressing herself whenever there was a need. She leaves a legacy of intelligence and hard work in adding value to the community at large and the entertainment industry in particular.

To all that may know ChiQ Diva (a.k.a. Chiquita Simms/@GoddessofPR), her family is experiencing something they have never dreamed of nor would wish on anyone else. To give her a proper burial in her hometown, NOLA, they are asking for donations. It doesn’t matter if it’s 5.00 or 500.00…any amount would suffice. There is a January 1..., 2011 deadline to get a few things completed, so if you can please stop by your nearest Chase Bank and make a donation to Account # 915797468. There will be a future event, planned in ChiQ’s honor, to offset any other funeral costs and to take up a donation for her son, DJ. If you would like to be a part of making that event happen, please e-mail me as soon as possible (EBlanca@BlaxxxGroup.com). If you cannot make it to a Chase Bank, but will still like to contribute in some kind of way to help meet the 1.1.11 deadline, please call ChiQ’s sister Tamara at 404.488.4693.
